In the last 2.5 years, I have learned to grow organic food sustainably, improve soil nutrition, teach gardening skills to visitors, and become a part of the solution to the food desert problem in the East Bay area of California. The harvest goes to local schools, Alameda County Food Bank, and OpenHeart Kitchen.
For those hampered by physical disabilities, senior citizens in care centers, and students, the COVID pandemic amplified a profound alienation. So I started making terrariums during the peak of COVID as a hobby to relieve my stress. But soon, it became much more—I wanted to share a bit of nature, art, and happiness with others in my community. So, I founded JoyBowls, an initiative to distribute desk terrariums to care centers in the Bay Area.
So far I have distributed over 384JoyBowls in my community.

Biology determines the aspects of daily life. However, I am interested in research going into how studying biology at a molecular level can be used in treatment for diseases. For example, I take part in neurological and anatomical studies.
