I founded JoyBowls during the pandemic to improve mental health of senior citizens and students by sharing a piece of nature with my community. At JoyBowls, I design and create terrariums and host student workshops to share my knowledge.
As a climate fellow at Stanford Deliberate Democracy Lab and Rustic Pathways Foundation, my mission is to reduce and recycle waste at my school through the "QLS Eco-Friendly Campus" project by creating awareness among lower school students through interactive projects aimed at reducing and recycling waste. Every weekend, I tend to the earth, prepare beds, compost, plant seeds, and harvest produce with care. The organic fruits, herbs, and veggies are then donated to OpenHeart Kitchen and Alameda County Food Bank, feeding the hungry in the East Bay area.
As a senior at Quarry Lane School and a neuroscience student researcher at ASDRP, I'm fully immersed in the captivating world of nanoparticles. When I'm not conquering Calculus, you'll find me grooving to infectious Bollywood or Jazz beats, delving into captivating comics and novels, and jamming to my favorite tunes on Spotify. During the COVID pandemic, I founded JoyBowls—a venture aimed at promoting mental health and spreading joy by bringing nature to your desk in a glass bowl. With a strong passion for sustainability and community engagement, I actively contribute to FertileGroundWorks and proudly serve as a Climate Leader Fellow at Rustic Pathways. Let's explore the harmonies of science, literature, dance, music, and the wonders of nature, all coming together to create a meaningful impact!
I love dancing Bollywood, jazz, and modern dance since elementary school. I enjoy working as the culture editor & book review editor of The Roar, the journalism club at Quarry Lane School, refining articles and contributing to the school's newspaper. Additionally, I serve in the Student Advisory Council at Gilder Lehrman Institute, representing the state of California. I am also a member of the Creative Media Club, where I explore my design and photography skills. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, playing harmonica and reading a wide variety of books.
Everything I do is centered around my core values of helping others, spreading joy, being creative and curious, doing meaningful work, and preserving nature.
